Professional Bio

Emma Mayall holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Visual Culture and History from Monash University, a Master of Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne, and is completing a Graduate Diploma in Information Management from RMIT. Beginning her career in the arts in customer service roles at Melbourne Museum and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), Emma went on to work in curatorial and exhibition coordination roles at ACMI and the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV), and a number of not-for-profit arts organisations in Melbourne, specialising in Contemporary Art. Emma has been a curator and coordinating curator for a number of exhibitions for ACMI, the National Gallery of Victoria and CLIMARTE. She has been a contributing author to a number of journals and exhibition catalogues on specialising in Contemporary Art. After a fifteen year career in the arts, Emma is retraining in Information Management with a strong interest in digital curation, digital dexterity, and humane technology, and is now working at Federation University, Ballarat, as a Frontline Services Officer, Client Services.
