Gillian is a Clinical Librarian at Monash Health, the largest public health service in Victoria, Australia. Before transitioning to a career in librarianship, she had a background in quality improvement and liaison roles in major hospitals. A passionate supporter of research, Gillian sits on the Human Research Ethics Committee at Monash Health and led the implementation of the Monash Health Research Repository. In addition to project work and providing frontline information services, Gillian is a co-author on two upcoming systematic reviews and writes the monthly library newsletter. 

Gillian most recently presented at the Health Libraries Inc. 2021 Conference on the theme of Out of the Chrysalis: Health Libraries Adapting to Change. In late 2022, she joined the ALIA Health Libraries Australia (HLA) Executive team.
